How I Find & Edit Good Pics For Facebook

Facebook pics are the core of the ad, and it’s hard to find good pics that are ready to go. So here’s how I go about finding pics that will likely do well on Facebook (e.g. including faces, attractive women).

1) Search Flickr for creative commons, commercial use permitted pics.
2) Download whatever looks good.
3) Crop the pics to emphasize the 1-2 faces/objects that matter.
4) If I need to add width because the pic is taller than it is wide, I try to copy paste little segments of background into new white space to the right/left of the main figure. So long as they’re not too obviously duplicates, you can get away with this because the image is going to be shrunk down to 100×72 pixels later.
